No, Christians have been rated as the top polluters of our world. So they can't be environmentalists.

I'm a born again, spirit-filled Christian and I believe in responsibility to the gift of the earth that we've been given to dominate. As far as the rapture goes, it's along the same lines as Jesus telling us to keep working until He comes and don't go and wait on your rooftop waiting for Him to show up. What you do and how you live, the respect you show for the things you've been given charge over are a testimony, witness, and form of worship to the Lord.
I do not, however, take environmentalism to the extremes as those who are steeply in it. I do believe that people must make a living. After all, money is not just about greed; it's about people's survival. This is how we all obtain the necessities of life. That is why people who shirk the issue of money in foreign and domestic policies are being unrealistic. It can be construed as a slow murder if peoples' livelihoods are taken from them. If realistic compromises can't be reached, people should look into alternatives further. Most of the time, when the situation calls for it, people rise to the occassion and amazing discoveries and solutions can be made to accommodate both the environment's and people's needs.

Very good point. Also I believe you could be very environmentally conscious but still be a Christian, however, many people hold these values because they love nature. There is a seduction in that MANY of the people behind the Environmental movement are also Wiccans (so called white witchcraft) also known as druids sometimes (nature worshipers). This is not at all an exaggeration. I would encourage you to talk to a few people that are strongly involved in the environmental movement just to see if at least one or two of them are not involved in Wicca in some way.

Yes. Genesis says that Man was supposed to take care of the Earth. Unfortunately, we've ALL abandoned that in one form or another.
Even Christians who believe in the Rapture (not all do...) have the responsibility to respect what God created. That's just good sense - and, for that matter, good manners.

Every one has right to talk about environment because we all are responsible to change the environment in either way.

I ponder this as well. Why try to have a planet our future generations will live on safely when it won't be here in their eyes.

God has commanded us to be His stewards of the earth, that means we are to take good care of it.
