Depends on your budget and what kind of food she likes.......
there are the obvious "celebrity" places like the ivy, nobu, china white, river cafe
but if NOT loaded there are plenty of good alternatives, I went to an amazing vegetarian indian place in Southall, it's opposite the himalayan palace(cinema) also good turkish places in stoke newington including testes (believe me thats what it's called!)

Well i was over last year visiting cousin wasn't a date but i loved Walthamstow dog track get some food the atmosphere was great.

Tate modern or something cultural, followed by a visit to the Hagen Dass ice cream shop in Leicester square, a walk by the Thames ........Worked for me I am now married to her!

london dungeons, lots of opportunities for hugs, my husband took me on wednesday, and if you go into victoria train station, and pick up a special leaftet called 'summer in london' you can get a buy one get one free offer, so only costs 14.95, which isnt that expensive,

..........It really depends on what you both have in common. I think she will be more impressed if she really enjoys the first date and feels you have put some thought into it. More so than a dinner, or the cinema etc..... Ask yourself, what would she like to do and that you might enjoy sharing with her???
