That is one of the best questions I have seen.

Can you truly love another if you do not love yourself?

The Upanishads say that God cannot be seen with the eye. God is that which causes the eye to see. I have been through very trying times in my life. I would not be here today if it was not for God. I believe in myself but the true self in everyone is Spirit, part of God. The answers we get in life come from God. God might inspire your thoughts or he might send someone else to give you an answer. If someone cannot see love or friendship, can they then say that these things don't exist? Someone can see fire but not heat. Heat can be felt, similarly God cannot be seen but can be felt.

Because if you believe in yourself and fail, you have no one to blame but yourself. If you put your belief in a greater Omniscient Being, then you can say that there is some other reason for your troubles. Life is generally a mix of both, what you can and should control, and what is out of your reach, completely external and unpredictable.

Once I realized that God loves me then I began to love myself. "You were fearfully and wonderfully made." My confidence comes in knowing my purpose and destiny. I know why God made me and I know why I was put on this Earth. Now I don't have to wonder, I know. Do you have that assurance? It only comes through a relationship with the Father through your faith in Jesus.

I have faith in God that he will see me through all things. that does not mean I don't believe in myself i believe i am happy.
God is my all and all . I am not perfect I sin constantly for believeing in myself, but i pray and ask for forgiveness for everyone that I know and those that I don't know that i have done. I don't have to see I know that He lives.
