First you need to find the AMO number. This is a number that gives string length for the proper amount of fistmele. Don't let that word scare you, it's simply to allow the proper amount of pre-load the bow needs in a resting state. Look where you saw 60lb. Somewhere close are other numbers like overall length and AMO. If not get a tape and measure the overall length and take that to a bow shop. If it is a hunting bow it should be close to 60 inches, a target model could be anywhere from 62 to 70. This is only for re-curves, long bows can go longer. If you are unsure about stringing the thing I would take it to a bow shop, people are killed every year by just stringing heavy pull bows improperly. Lastly, if you don't have anybody experienced around email me and I will help. tangocharley@yahoo.com

Need to know what type of cams are on the bow, plus does it have the tear drops or does it wrap around the cams.Does it require a bow press to install it. Is the old string dacron, fast flight, zebra twist, ect. The best thing to do is go to a local pro shop, they re-install your string components usually with no extra charge...

Any local sportsmans shop will be able to help you. If you have a Cabela's or Gander Mountain or such they will also. If by some chance you have no sports shops around you, contact the manufacture of your bow and they will be able to send you a string.
