Be carefull about propaganda and misconceptions like Caste system , polythesism in Hinduism and Buddhists are Atheists. These are only misconceptions and propaganda and far from actual truth.
Have a look what Nobel prize winners, philosphers, intellectuals and scientists around the world think about oldest and still billion strong growing faith Hinduism. I think Hinduism is a spiritual ocean and it's pre-historic age truely prooves its actual name "Sanatana Dharma" which means an ETERNAL LAW.

That is very true. Much can be gained by both...but don't get caught up in the shallow stuff...look for the deeper meanings. For instance, Hinduism is not polytheistic like many believe. Hinduism states that there is one God with many aspects or faces...kind of like the "Holy Trinity" of Christianity. Do remember that almost everything in eastern religions are metaphorical...the stories they tell are designed to teach you something...kind of like Jesus' parables. The stories weren't literally true, they are told to illustrate points. Many people in all religions get caught up believing the metaphors to be literal truths, and this is where Dogma comes in and turns people into wacko fundamentalists.

Yes, find your answers. Dont just accept them. True things do not need blind belief or fear of hell. Our creation is a part of God's creation. When we fear of something, we already start living in hell. Knowledge removes fear.
Yes, Hinduism and Buddism talk about spirituality. If you look back at history, Buddha was a Hindu King, who went out to seek knowledge and practised meditation, may be something like you. When he got the divine knowledge, He shared it with people. Its we people who started dividing people and give them different names as Hinduism and Buddhism.
When you look for answers, do not get carried by the terms used in the modern times (which are used only to divide) but look at the base meaning of things. No matterwhere you find your answers, I believe you wil get your peace and meaning of your life in the end.

I dont know much about it either, but i agree with you. I feel that it might be possible to incorporat their ideals into Christian beliefs.Try a bookstore and buy a book that can inform you on their teachings. Or buy a book online like at amazon.

Start by attending a local sangha or buddhist temple.
You can learn a lot. Instead of just reading, you should
PRACTICE it. There is a lot of value there.
