When someone says
"do you have something to do this weekend, maybe we can such or do such and such?"
Does it mean he's asking you out? (he's just someone you met few days ago and with whom you have talked just a few times..)

And when he offers you a ride or tells you there's an interesting place where he could take you if you want to does it mean he's asking you out ?

And besides what are the most common ways or pick up lines used in America to ask girls out?

Thanks

And if I tell him no sorry this weekend I work (and I really had to work) is it taken as mean rejection ? how do I handle the situation next time (how to say no in a polite way that won't hurt his feelings ?)

Yes he's asking you out. Whenever in doubt, jokingly say "You asking me out?" You'll get your answer.

well not neccessarily it means that he is asking you out but it can mean such things depends on his feeling about u....... well if your answer is negetive then you should try to make him understand that u still wanna go out wi him but not this time....... i think this'll help u.

Yeah, it sounds like he is interrested. Maybe just a bit shy. Probably doesn't want to get turned down so he is asking you non-chalantly.

maybe he just wants to hang out. i wouldnt necessarily look at it as a date if i were you. i mean, thats probably what he means, but i dunno. usually people act more casually when they're just "hanging out" as opposed to "going on a date". haha.
