I don't think anyone had thought of it. If I were to make it at home, I would use flat bread instead of pizza crust, then add the Gyro toppings on it. After it is baked, I would then drizzle the Gyro sauce over it. Most Gyros do not have cheese in them, but I would use a mild cheese such as Gruyere or sprinkle Greek Feta cheese on top of the Pizza. Sounds like a great idea!

Well after reading the other answers it looks like I'm going to have to find a Greek restaurant to try. I love gyros. There's a place in Brookshire Texas that makes the best Taco Pizza.

because a gyros is a type of sandwich , now if you want to put what goes in a gyro on a pizza that can be done , by the way why are you wearing a chef hat and asking such a question? take it off till you have earned it .

Well a gyro is the name of a Greek sandwich. The meat is a mixture of lamb and beef. I assume you mean the meat itself. I have heard of Greek pizzas, but I don't think they're very common.

Depends where you go..I've had gyro as a topping before at a Greek italian restaurant called the olive tree...the "fast food" pizza chains dont have it but try looking for a greek italian restaurant and you'll most likely find it.

Who says it can't be? Go ahead and make it one. And heck, you can use the tziki (sp?) sauce as a dipping sauce for it!
