Most people who believe in a Creator are good, highly functional and rational people.

Why is there not more high level discussion in this section as to the reasons why they believe, by thoses that do not believe?

I'd be happy to engage in a serious, fact-based debate or discussion.

And who created man to be rational, in God's image.

I, like a lot of people, believe in a Creator because nothing else makes sense. If we are made from the dust of the universal, who made the universal? Eventually, no matter what someone else says about what we are made of, the question is always who or what made that.

The concept of a monotheistic god have been so ingrained in human history for the past three millenia that people believe in a creator.

People are good at coming up with easy answers (faith, belief without proof, etc.) for things they came to believe in for reasons that they can't explain.

For me, I decided to undergo my own personal spiritual journey and in the course of my studies, I made the determination that the idea of god is man made.

I do not believe because of how humans came to believe in a god or gods. gods were created by man when they did not understand how the physical world worked. As mankind began to figure these things out , the idea that a god made the sun rise everyday was invalidated.

We're in a time when scientific discovery is occurring an an exponential pace, it's only a matter of time until science figures out how everything works and the monotheistic god disappears like Zeus has.

In my experience, the "proof" of a god is often based on feeling rather than concrete proof. To me, a lack of proof is a lack of god.

Because many people have had miracles in their life; because the world is so pefectly planned you can't just say "two rocks hit eachother and out came the Earth" (plus, where did the rock come from?); because there is historical evidence of Jesus Christ coming to Earth and healing people; because of the feeling you get deep down in your heart that there is something more out there, something bigger and more important than us.

It is good but most people on here have too much time on their hand and are so confused about what they believe.
