i want specific details on the following:-
1.how many rangers were in each ranger chalk ?
2.how many delta operators landed from the first two MH-60 after the first 16 landed from the 4 MH-6s? and did they landed with ropes ?
p.s. i read that they were 30 but im not sure from the number.
i have to give a lecture to military students soon so any help

I have read the book "Blackhawk Down" by Mark Bowman, but can't remember specific details. If I remember right there were 12 Rangers in each chalk, but I could be wrong.

You should lecture about when the U.S. Marines were there and how scared most of the Somalis were. The fighting and uprising did occur until after the Marines left. As for Army, Who knows?
I doubt they even know.

Did you know that when the Marines Landed in Mogadishu, The media wanted to see it so bad, that they turned the little landing operation in the middle of the night into a floodlighted big media spectaclar.

look up black hawk down you might find something there or watch the film as i think there's script after the film explaining what happened.,hope this helps.
