NO! Those are real humans in a pit of everlasting fire in the center of the earth. Just run a garden hose down the hole and give them some relief from eternal torment. Demons poke them with pointed sticks and mock their tears while worms feast on their bones, which regenerate and feed more bone eating worms.
ITS HORRIBLE DOWN THERE! If you want to avoid that you need to do what I tell you.

If they are burning, get out your water hose and help them out. It's the nice thing to do. Just because they are in Hell doesn't mean you can't help them out. Then I would probably cover the hole back up before you throw the balance of Earth off or something.
