Depending on your mp3 player, you won't need to do this.
I don't think these are the steps on how to do it either. These are just options in windows media player.
In order to put it onto your mp3 player, you may be able to drag and drop the file in my computer when your mp3 player is plugged in, into the appropiate drive.
If this doesn't work, you need to open windows media player and right click on the song. Click add to sync list. (do this in library) and to the right you will see a list appear. At the bottom of this pane, click sync now, and it should do it!

if you have XP, just do a copy&paste on the MP3 player, usually the player is known as a removable drive such as (f:) etc. But if you need to transfer it, use a Sync. I really need to know what OS you are using, what is the brand and model of the MP3 player, and what software that you currently using for the MP3 player. That way I can help you correctly.

Burn list - people to bur or list of file to write on cd
try to connect the mp3 player to the comp and transfer it
and if it is not mp3 then buy a software to change the file to mp3
