No because most people use this in their free time. Do we all really want to make sure our grammar and punctuations and spelling is correct? Honestly I dont care as long as I understand what they are trying to say. I can worry about proper english when Im at school. Plus not everyone may speak "proper" english because they are just learning the language. Why be mad when all they are doing is trying.

I don't think anyone understands "proper" English any more. We speak American or British or Australian or pidgin English without really understanding the differences.
Admittedly, we rarely use proper English because our friends and family have become accustomed to our personal version of slang. Besides, for native English speakers, their English is always "proper" English regardless of the grammar rules broken or followed. Also, native English speaker are often unaware of many of the grammar rules taught to non-native speakers in ESL classes around the world.
I'm most bothered by recent radio and television advertisements that use "less" when "fewer" should be used to form a correct sentence. However, I recognize that we all speak differently and have different priorities. With that in mind, no, I'm not bothered by the variety of language used on this site as we are still able to convey information.

That is a double-edged sword. What is proper English? I do get annoyed when I can not decipher what someone asked. I also get annoyed when people ask vague questions, and then re-ask their question complaining because no-one answered it.
I am not a very good typist. I know that I make mistakes. I do try to check my answer for spelling mistakes and to make sure I actually answered their question. I feel too many people simply put their opinions and do not actually answer the question.
For example, a woman was asking where to find a chocolate fountain to use at her wedding. Most people answered her question by telling her not to get one.
I feel that is ruder than using improper English. That is my opinion.

You have created something of a quandary by asking that question, but leaving your premise aside on the basis that it is incorrect anyway, I only find it bothersome when the questions are either indecipherable or so obtuse that they rival those in The Times' crosswords. What is truly bothersome is the tendency for people to ask questions to which they could obtain the answers just by using the resources of the computer right in front of them.

you're battling a dropping conflict. I actually have a shirt that asserts, "reliable grammar expenses no longer something," and that i stay by using that adage, yet i've got given up looking forward to persons to even care. :) The grammar actual does not difficulty me that plenty on line. incredibly much no person speaks with appropriate grammar anymore. yet whilst people do no longer difficulty to take an further few seconds for a cursory spelling examine, that annoys me, and that i rather hate the shortened words, acronyms, and intentional misspellings of information superhighway jargon. yet lower back: it rather is a dropping conflict. we've contractions because of the fact people stopped conversing needless to say and have been given too lazy to place in writing out the words. Heck, we've decrease-case letters for the comparable reason. people have been given sloppy. it rather is inevitable.

Yes, it does bother me. I hate it when the grammer, spelling, and the semantics are so poor that I can't evenunderstand their thughts. Furthermore, writing in ALL CAPS or in AlTeRnAtInG cases annoys me even more. People using "shortcuts" because they are simply too lazy to type out a whole word (such as 4 for for and u for you) is my pet peeve.
But usually, I just calm myself thinking that most of these have not had the proper knwledge nor experience in the English language. English is not the first language for them. I mean they could try, instead of just using it incorrectly.

Nope.
I speak a few languages and English is my native tongue and proper English isn't required for Yahoo answers. Yahoo answers have a mixed bag of people. Different ethnicity's, different ages, different educational backgrounds.bla bla bla.
Who cares honey?
It's not a dissertation.

I don't know that it NEVER gets used -- I try pretty hard, myself -- but considering how egregious the errors are, it seems like a lof folks aren't even TRYING to learn the rules of proper grammar, or how to spell word properly.
It's difficult to know the reasons -- are they just kids, is it the sorry shape of public education, are they trying to make a point somehow? -- but I've learned to live with it....

it bothers me that proper english is hardly used anywhere. We hear and use so much slang even in general conversation.
