I feel like you are not looking for an answer, but for someone to tell you it is okay. This is pretty much a question you already know the answer to. And since everybody is different it is up to you. And being 19 I can understand how you feel. Even though a lot of people tell you it should be with the one you love, being with someone that you are not as serious with can be helpful, because there is less pressure. The only thing you need to remember is that it only happens once. So make sure it is special for you, not how someone else would have it happen.

Do not rush into it. But then again ignore all sense because once it is done it is done, it is not a really special moment, it will be pretty painful, it will not feel that good and most likely be over in a few seconds and you will want to forget it so find someone you like, not just anyone though and get down to it. Then it is over and you can improve on it, hopefully with the same person.

Its no big deal really, people hype it up and take it out of proportion. Mybe i am in the minority but i am telling you like it is from my world. Most peoples first time is crap so join the club, get in, get off and get out then you done, its like a driving test, you get nervous about the first time but you forget it after all the other road trips.

Most other replies will be different from mine but do not put your virginity on a pedestal, it is a word made up by people and taken to a new level by religion.

I am 19 and I lost mine just before I turned 17.

It varies for everyone though. If you feel ready, then you are. And after you have done it, you will wonder what the big deal was about.

I would say though, if you have to ask, then maybe you aren't ready? Or perhaps you have pressure from a parent or similar not to do it?

Either way, if you feel ready, then you're ready.

First of all this is not a joke nor a riddle. Second don't lose it just to lose it. Lose it b/c you want to share something with the person you love. Third if you were ready and/or old enough you wouldnt have to ask so you are obviously not ready or really old enough if you are asking ppl on the YA board... hmm.. and the McFly guy was sort of right it isnt that great your first time BUT it is something you remember forever (maybe guys dont but girls certainly do) its like your first kiss remember who that was and exactly what happend.. or your first date.. etc
