Soy sauce is fine with chicken. Also use some ginger and garlic paste and throw in some herbs as well. Soy sauce is not a herb.

if you like asian dishes soy sauce is okay if not don't try it! Or if want to use soy sauce cut up the chicken and fry it with some chopped vegetables and a couple of noodles and add soysauce and spices+salt and pepper. To make stir fry.

go with the soy sauce. Once you taste it, you may get ideas of what you can do next time. This is a great way to learn new ways of cooking. I wouldn't however use vinegar on the chicken unless it's PART of a marinade.

Soy sauce has a lot of salt or sodium in it. Salt will pull moisture out of the meat making it dry unless you are cooking it in a sauce.

Lemon is good for chicken. If you have any creamed soups in your house simmering the chicken in those with a cover on will make it tender and tasty. Even tomato soup would work.

Mix soy sauce, brown sugar and garlic for a tasty marinade. If you are deep frying, add a tablespoon of corn starch in the marinade. Also, for a little "twang" add a few drops of lemon juice.

Soy sauce is very good on chicken. Serve it with rice and you will have an Asian type dish.
