Try reading baby name books and do searches online. Is there a certain author thats your favorite? One of my friends found a name in a Shakespeare play that she loved. Maybe a city...I know it sounds "celebrity-ish" but its true. Maybe something out of the bible. Or an old family name. My sons are Izaiah James Wynn and Ethan Andrew Ford (yes 2 middle names) Just start going through things you like. Also try yelling the name, first middle and last. If it sounds good that way then you've got a winner. Works for me every time. LOL

It kind of depends on what the child's last name will be. You don't want a first name that sounds ridiculous when said along with the last name.
I prefer more traditional names, like James, Andrew, Steven. My thought is to pick a name that can't easily be turned into a horrible nickname and won't get your child's butt kicked on the playground.

Dayne or Xavier. I named my son Corbin and love the name because not a lot of boys have this name where we live, unlike the names Taylor, Jason, Josh, Mike, and John.

I think you should give him a normalish name. Some quirky names can suit girls in my opinions but not boys...
You didn't say whati s your last name? You need to make it easy to say
I don't like names that have the same first letter as the last name

When I was expecting my babies, we went through all the family names to see what sounded good together. We went back generations, looking for names. My daughter is named for her paternal grandmother who died when her father was in high school and for all the woman named Loyless (an English Sir name) in my family. We took Mi from Mildred (her grandmother) and loy from my name to make Miloy. Then we found that it is a Scottish name and we are from Scotland name generations back.
My sons are named for men on our families. My oldest is Howard for his father and grandfather and we call him Ward. My youngest is Mitch, named for the Mitchell family.
My granddaughter is named Hope, and we found that one of their father's ancestors was named Hope.
