I think not. I have a wired optical mouse and Windows Xp recognised it without any driver. With a wireless solution, I think, it's quite the same, because the radio transmission between the mouse and the receiver is outside the computer.

If using Windows XP probably not. Otherwise you may need to install the CD that I assume came with your mouse. If not, go to the manufacturers site and you should be able to download a driver from there.

usually when you buy a wireless mouse or keyboard you get a cd which contains the driver. you could contact the manufacturers website and try downloading the software

Everthing that you need, will be on the cd that came with your wireless mouse. I have one, and I love it, works great..
