The trouble with Islam is that it appears to be in the same kind of place that Christianity was several hundred years ago. The West has moved on, but Islam wants to live in the past. We need to help them into the modern world.

Yes, I can easily blame them. Most of them, like yourself, have no idea what the Qu'ran says, yet you feel you can fairly say the religion is "evil" in some ways.

May I remind you that Christians have had a bloodier past than Islam, so perhaps you should read some history. Crusades, Inquisition, Witch Burning, etc. So far as treating women goes, it is only recently that Christian women have had real rights. In the past they were not even allowed to speak in church.

If you are not a Christian, it would still be to your benfit to read up on the past events of other religions. You cannot attack the religion based on acts, only those who commit the acts. If you want to attack religion, use a philisophical argument based on sound logic.

its not that muslims are not doing anything, they had rallies in USA on 911 , they rallied and banned DaVinciCode when u were comfortably paying more than from ur pockets to see the premeire and they have condemed many terrorist attacks, but the media is always hiding things from us. now i wonder why the media would do this, but this is the thruth.

The ENTIRE WORLD has been waiting for any Islamic leaders to denounce all the butchery being claimed by "extremeists" members.

I havent seen many and certainly NO efforts to stop the killing.

while i agree with most of the things that you point out, why do you think that it is acceptable to post something just to cause more hatred.

it is the radical and very vocal and active sector of the islamic faith that are acting in this manner. you cannot know the number of people who perpetrate these atrocities in the name of allah are actually islamic and are not just using the quaran to validate their actions.

also, if you are christian as i am, we have to remember the little thing about the inquistion and the crusades. both are reprehensible and i do not think (i may be wrong) that God approved of either.
