At least 1 month. Even if she mate it will continue as she can have multiple partners! I think many of us wants to be dogs now and again. Good luck. The rest of the neighborhoods dogs will be visiting your house as the feromones travel far and quickly and the males will pick it up easily.

Most dogs are in heat for about a month. Be careful though. The last week is the most fertile. Also I have a German Shepherd and when she goes into heat we put a Pull Up diaper on her and cut a hole for her tail. Maybe you could use a smaller diaper. I was very surprised at how well my dog keeps it on. Good Luck!

I also have a 9 mo. old. She is in heat now for the 1st time. (shepard), she has made a mess ALL OVER!!. She is now in her 16th day and it is starting to ease up. I figure in about another week she'll be done. it takes about 3 weeks. My advice would be if your not gonna let her mate, then to get her spayed, my dog has an appointment next week to get done. Good luck

When the bleeding quits, the dog is no longer in heat. If it does not quit, go to the vet. Just use common sense and get the animal neutered, unless you like finding homes for puppies.

13 to 15 days only
you call for a stud service and mate them on the 9th day, 11th and 13th day. then count 58 to 60 days and see how many pups will come out.

Only for a week Terri. You better get to her soon. And remember....what you are doing is illegal in most states. Except Council Bluffs Iowa and Kentucky.

Get her spayed. If you don't know enough about dogs to know the answer to this question, you have no business owning an unspayed or unneutered animal. Period.
