The world’s oceans and seas are in jeopardy from over fishing, pollution and the destruction of natural habitats, through commercial trawlers, illegal use of banned nettings and poaching of endangered species such as the Turtle. Over fishing of Cod stocks has decreased its spawning grounds in the Atlantic by 64% and the stock in the Irish and Mediterranean Sea by 63%.
A 100,000 sharks are killed a yr simply for their Fins also by Japanese, Chinese and Scandinavian commercial trawlers!

Could you give up fish for 2 yrs if the EU implemented a law in which it was banned every 2 yrs on a 5 yr basis?

Consider the implications if we continue down this path, our seas in 20 yrs time will become barren by a % not thinking about its so frightening...
please boycott commercial fish products (Birdseye etc) and remember that if the fish stocks fail then the oceans are doomed as every fish has a purpose as does the shark which is the top of the oceans food chain.

I doubt whether we could actually kill most of the creatures in the world's oceans. A few species here and there but nature has a way of filling a void so don't worry about it too much.

Even if you killed everything in the ocean, the ocean would still be there, and with the ice caps melting the ocean is getting bigger every day!

Don't eat fish (helps put them out of business) and don't go on cruises (they dump untreated waste in the water).
