how about a show in which one sees the journey of a man from the seven deadly sins towards the seven virtues.

u can use certain steriotypical comical aspects of the sins to add humour.

the sins and virtues of course have to shown in their anthropormophised forms.

another idea is to show just the seven deadly sins as separate individuals who know each other and u can show a routine day in their lives. their exploits,, how they converse with each other,, in fact a show about nothing...a la seinfeld.

Improvisation is a lovely idea in theory, but it should lead to a script. At least the spoken parts should be finalised in script-form so you have something to work from and rehearse. You could improvise the dances. I suggest this.
Good luck,

the movie se7en is a very dark take on it, but worth watching. not sure if it could tranfer to play.

try and make it original is all i can say, it doesn't have to be the 7 deadly sins but the origins, or something along those lines.

Cast a fat man, a deviant 20ish female, a 30something white male who auditions with his own couch, a Wall Street investment banker, etc... you get the picture. Make it a reality show!
