My daughter has been diagnoised with this , and no one seems to be helping her. she cannot move her bowels due to obstruction. Her bowels will move a little and then the hard bowels obstruct her again. All she does is cry when she uses the bathroom. Eating right and using fiber has done nothing at all. Her stomach has swollen to the point that she looks 6 months pregnant. I am scared that this is going to kill her and I need answers so that I can make the doctor due the necessary tests to help her.

Dysmotility refers to difficult or impaired movement;in this case the digestive tract. It is sort of a catch all phrase usually used when the answer is unknown. It sounds as if your daughter may be suffering from ciliac desease,in which the cilia(fine hairs) are not propelling the food and waste as it should. This is because the cilia is flattened against the digestive tract walls. This is commonly due to a person being allergic to wheat and other grains. This condition is treatable by a gastroenterologist, but she will have to manage her diet at least temporarily.I hope this has helped.

I would not wait any longer - get her to a hospital!
But if you are going insist on waiting - try GOOGLE SEARCH or one of the medical sites on the internet. But I think you have waited too long already and shouldn't wait any longer !

There are a lot of tests listed in these articles. Picking up a copy of Dorland's Medical Dictionary and Grey's
Anatomy will help sort out terminology and anatomy.
The best of luck to you. I am:
