Sounds like you're doing a good job yourself. I love the questions you have asked(Ipeeked)
I truly believe that a girl needs a good daddy. Moms are great and there may be some things that a mom would find easier to teach their children. However, there is NOTHING that replaces the love of a good daddy!
Best wishes to you!
You're doin' a great job!!!=)

It really depends on her age. If she's a young'an, I would suggest exposing her to educational learning videos. There are lots of "cool" people on those shows, that have a great interest in and love for learning, who will encourage her to enjoy healthy activities.
If she's becoming independent, she will find her own role models. It's part of the self-discovery process (she'll find out what her passions are), and very important when striving for autonomy.

Girls need male role models, too. That's how they learn what a good man is like. Make sure she meets professional women so that she knows she cans set high goals for herself. She can be a doctor, and engineer, a pilot, anything she wants.

generally speaking - people she knows and sees every day who are active people - doing things and caring about things
media people become role models but this isnt a good choice since basically media people are really messed up.. they NEED attention all the time - then say they dont want it... they make lots of money doing relatively easy work (not like garbage men for example) and they seldom give back as much as they take.. they love getting their egos stroked for giving back little bits - but make no mistake about it they are greedy to the core or they wouldnt be living in big houses - driving polluting vechilcles.. they are not giving back any huge amount

Anyone who exemplifies the character traits you would like her to develop. Perhaps you find a babysitter who exemplifies Integrity, Courage, Kindness...well, that seems to me like a pretty good role model.(Provided that the babysitter is not a sex offender.) Just kidding.
The only way that children learn appropriate behavior is to see it practiced in front of them. Therefore, practice the behaviors you would like your child to cultivate and you will nuture her spirit.

God, Jesus, of course (forget Hillary!), strong independent women in your life. If she sees "good" from you and the people you hang with she will grow up to show your same values
