I actually did this twice back in 5th grade. To my astonishment the first time I did it I came to 368 and the second time I came to 367. I was stunned that i got such similar numbers so I assume I am correct when saying it takes about 368 licks to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop. These were standard licks too, no sucking whatsoever!

I have heard it takes 340 licks. personally I suck on it for a while and then bite it . I am not patient at all.lol.
