No, Thank You sweety! It was the people like yourself who helped me make it through 3 tours of Vietnam, 1967 through 1970. Even though my kid brother was killled in the Dien Bin Phu offensive, it was letters from home like yours my dear that kept us going, and fighting for what we believed in. God Bless you, and your family. And again, Thanks a million. Your letters really help! 1st. Sgt., 7th Special Forces, (Ret.) Vietnam, "67"-"70"

Alright, I feel obligated to reply to this message. First of all, I want to say thank you for posting it. It's great to see postive feedback. I'm an Army wife of 18 years and totally support my soldier. I have nothing but respect for him. It's MY honor to be married to him.
Now on to my issue and reason for responding. For pgrama and barefoot and any others, you can't support the troops conditionally. It's not an unjustified war. And our job isn't done. Yes, we won the war, but there's so much more to do. We have to stabilize the country. We can't just cut and run or they'll fall right back into a situation like they were in. You can't take that away from the troops. They believe in what they're doing and you should believe in it too. By not supporting them unconditionally, it brings morale down. We know why we're there and we know what we're doing. If our men and women in the service know this, maybe you should think about that. My hubby as been over 3 times so far. We know the risks and we know the reasons. Supporting the troops means supporting them all the time, not just based on what you think is right or wrong. They protect our freedoms and rights. Sometimes that means war. That war can either be in a foreign country or on our own soil. Let them finish the job they've started so that all the lives we lost aren't wasted. That's what supporting the troops is.
Thanks to all who replied with positive responses to this. And thank you to all the families who also have someone serving. Best of luck to each of you and God bless.

It's nice to support the troops but it's too bad they are in such a bad situation that could have been avoided all together. I know if I were overseas fighting to survive it would be heart warming to hear from people who care about my safety. If only we can convince the president to do something positive to better the situation in Iraq. I hope he isn't planning any more so called, "Freedom Ventures" in the future........

Your welcome! The grateful people like yourself and others like you are exactly why I served this country proudly, and exactly why I would do it again.
As I served in th Army, I did so that the great men and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice to ensure our freedoms and way of life did not die in vain. I only hope that I did not tarnish their sacrifice and courage, but made them proud!

You are not corny! You are expressing what Most Americans Feel. I am happy to know that there are Americans such as yourself still unafraid to say what they truly feel in their hearts and minds. God Bless You, your Family, and the United States of America!!!

Thank God for our men and women in uniform! We can all sleep safely and go about the business of our lives, thanks to the brave souls throughout all the years who have fought and defended our freedom.
To pqrama (and other idiots like him): We are currently involved in this war because of Bin Laden and other dictators like him. The fault lies squarely at their doorsteps. Do not take the ignorant path and blame our government or our Commander-In-Chief. If these nut cases (the dictators) aren't stopped, I'll be sure to send them to your house when they come calling.

As the Mother of an Army Officer & Ranger, I thank you. My 3 nephews thanks you. My Uncle, the "Colonel" as we call him
(a little funny at his rank - haha- do not tell him I said so) thanks you & the dozens of relatives who have died for our freedom would be proud of you. On this Wear Red to Support the Troops Day, I am proud of you while wearing my red shirt.

As an Army wife it makes me so proud when people thank my husband for being a soldier. My husband is so modest about it when people thank him he just thinks of it as his job that he loves doing. So thank YOU for supporting our troops and our families.

Makes you feel corny? Don't let it, it's people like you that give them the strenght to carry on. It's people like you that make them want to fight even harder knowing we appreciate what they are doing. Keep it up & GOD bless you for caring
