What would you do if you just started dating a guy and the two of you found out that his ex girlfriend is pregnant and there is a one in six chance that the baby is his? How would you react to the situation and what would you do? would you stay with him or back off until after the baby is born and you know who's baby it is?

Same thing happened to me!!
I was dating my now husband (obviously I stayed with him, haha) and after only 2 months of dating we both found out his ex was 3 months pregnant. She basically got pregnant about 2 weeks before we met! I was absolutely devastated, I literally felt a pain in my heart. See we were in love, it was actually love at first sight. I had my doubts and thought there is no way I could live with this and to tell you the truth his daughter is now almost 5 and I still have trouble accepting it. It was and is very painful! I try to be mature and I never do anything to jeopardize their relationship because I know he loves his daughter and would like to be part of her life.
Anyway, we were too inlove with each other to let each other go. We worked through it and it was extremely difficult and challenging.
Here are some things to consider:

-Are you two trully in love with each other?
-Can you accept that he has a child with someone else?
-Do you think that there is any chance he will go back with her because of the baby?
-Are you willing to care for the baby or atleast be around those days/times when he has custody of her or will it be too painful?
-He is no longer totally free, he now has a financial and paternal responsibilty so your lives will not be all fun and games anymore
-If you were to have a long future with him he will have financial obligations and it can be expensive, are you willing to give up some of your money for that
-He will have to have contact with the mother alot. he will want to be in the delivery room, he will want to visit the baby at her house frequently.
-She may not want you around and refuse to let you visit with the baby when he visiting.
-Are you mature enough to handle this or will you complicate things by being difficult because that is no benefit to the child.

Many, many more to think about to.
Good luck and i would definitly tell him that you need a paternity test to know for sure before you guys make any decisions about your relationship

If you really love the guy and you care about him, then you would stick by him...I mean it is his ex and there is a one in six chance. I mean it seems pretty big now. Of course I know you're in shock and there are 100 things running through your mind but you should stick with your man. At the end of the day, if that is his kid then it is his baby and you're his girlfriend. You shouldn't' let a child come in between you.

A baby, it is a question indeed. Sex does make babies despite the couple has not married. Is a baby a surely excuse leading to marriage? I can't foretell the happy life of marriage caused by a baby. A marriage is based on love not baby. A man should certainly be responsible to what he has done. But how? A marriage? My words stops here, you are one step to your answer.

I would stand by him. He's still your boyfriend and he's with you now. There is a 1 in 6 change the baby is his which means there is a 5 in 6 change that it's not. The odds are definitely in your favour.

I would just wait and see. What happened before you, you shouldn't worry about. I would wait until the baby is born and for the DNA test to say "you are the father". Just take it one day at a time for now.

A "one in six" chance? Okay, that's just too many partners. Get away from him and let him work this out. No man is worth that kind of grief. Get out of it.

well if it is his he might had sex with her before you two got hooked up. so dont punish him for something that he might have done before dating you.
