NATURE ONLY

2006-09-21 03:27:56 · answer #1 · answered by RAMAN IOBIAN 7 · 1 0

Human instinct. Babies can't talk at birth so they learn to make noises to communicate their needs. Parents teach them to cry and throw tantrums for their wants because they think it to be cute the first time the child puts on a show...then they start giving into the tantrums in order to keep the child subdued so they can go on with whatever task they find to be more important at the time than properly disciplining their child and teaching the child good communication skills instead of "tantrums work". No, you should never strike a child, but you should find ways to make them understand that NO means NO. Be consistent, patient and tolerant and you'll have few if any tantrums...and many times you will have to put your own wants and needs on the back burner to care for your child...after all...children come first and if you can't handle that...you shouldn't have children.

Well when you don't get something you "think" you really want don't you feel sad. Well children are more expressive about their feelings. Though the behavior continues when a parent gives them it to "shut them up". It is the same attitude as "testing the waters" to see what one can get away with. Much like a teenage who back talks their parents the first time.

I think parents do, right from the start. Think about it, children are very smart and quick learners. When they are babies and they cry for a bottle, they get one, they get a little older and cry for a toy, they get one, they get older and cry for a car, they get one, lol. Parents don't like to see their kids cry or have their feelings hurt and if they don't give them what they want, parents feel guilty. Not all parents and children are like this, it's just an example, but a lot of parents and children are like this. I was never one to cry to get what I wanted, but my brother was, but he was the "baby".

The parents. Parents give in when they cry, the child finds out that it works and goes with it.

That is a natural behavior of a child .. needless to say, children test boundaries to see how far they can take it as they age. They learn what works, what doesn't and use it to their advantages. Pretty smart huh?

You do, by giving in to them when they are crying. Little ones don't know how else to communicate, so they cry to get your attention, and for most, it works. Therefore, they just continue to do it until you break the pattern and teach them how to talk and ask for things.

Children start learning that behavior when they're new borns, crying when they're hungry or when they have dirty diapers. As they get older and can understand a little but better, it's best to make them stop crying before giving them what they want and they will learn early that temper tantums will get them nothing.

The parents do. When the child cries the parent runs to them, and in turn the child learns that if he cries, he gets what he wants.

Parents do by spoiling the child rotten, and giving them whatever they ask for, or to prevent them from crying just give in.
