No. Heredity and genetic makeup are physical attributes.
Karma and reincarnation are not physical properties, although they may manifest work on the physical plane.

Your question is not very clear to me.
Are you trying to point to the general perception that a Son of Brahman becomes Brahmana or son of Ksatriya becomes Ksatriya? ...
If that is so then you are mistaken because Bhagavad Gita clearly states that ...
"According to the three modes of material nature and the work associated with them, the four divisions of human society are created by Me. And although I am the creator of this system, you should know that I am yet the nondoer, being unchangeable." (BG 4.13)
Its clearly stated that one becomes Brahmana only by qualities and deeds. Becoming by birth is not accepted.
The theory of heredity as known in science is based on Body. Where as the Law of Karma and Reincarnation is on Soul.
Heredity science can never say what qualities the child will take up and what he will discard. It still depends on the child.
Though Law of Karma is enforced by birth also.
"Those who worship the demigods will take birth among the demigods; those who worship the ancestors go to the ancestors; those who worship ghosts and spirits will take birth among such beings; and those who worship Me will live with Me." BG - 9.25
The unsuccessful yogé, after many, many years of enjoyment on the planets of the pious living entities, is born into a family of righteous people, or into a family of rich aristocracy. (BG - 6.41)

Karma or action is of two kinds viz. those performed by body and those by mind.Human body made up and consisting of natural elements follows the programmes of natural laws of creation which also include heredity and genetic spheres. However human body serves as an instrument to indwelling personality whose soul programmes are directed by subtle instruments of mind and intellect.Just as photographs and voices are recorded and stored in physical world those relating to subtle world are also stored in a subtle astral body which interfaces gross physical with subtle soul programme runnings. This subtle field of workings are transcendental and the actions known as virtuous or sinful karmas are arbitrarily defined in a complexity of factors relating to both physical existence as well as community set values of good and bad. Although the mind consciousness has far greater freedom in scanning micro cosm to macro still it is not absolutely free and constrined by laws of creation entangled into a cris cross woven plane of space-time continuum and all idividual soul programmes scribed on it with an invisible psychic ink. Hence innumerable incarnations into gross bodily instruments propelled by the purpose of dissolving desires (kamas)and gaining freedom ensue as karmas both enticing into new ones and resolving old ones. Therefore we can sufficiently ponder and conclude that heredity theory which is only the result of physical observation and intellect related proposition may not encompass an infinitely larger field of subtle world laws.

while i do not believe in reicarnation, i have to say from a genetic standpoint, that a child born to a set of parents, will still carry genetic issues from his/her heritage.
the fact that one is placed into a new born, does not mean that there is not a genetic link. the individual link is the spirit.
