It is alarming how many people cannot spell nor put a simple sentence together! Blaming it on not using Spell Check is like blaming your car for speeding.

Before anyone attacks me, I know that English is not the first language for many here, those are easy to spot. For others, dyslexia may be an issue. The point is a high percentage simply won't take the time to "speak" clearly!

It's just stupidity or laziness. You can't blame English being a second language or dylexia when people keep using "your" instead of "you're", or using apostrophes in the plural forms of nouns. And don't even get me started on 1337sp33k!

I agree with you 100% on the dismal spelling and formulating abilities of many - if not most - of the Y!A participants.
What I don't get is your comparison between the spell checker and a speeding car. Please explain.

Don't you mean "type" correctly? I can't speak into the keyboard. You're becoming one of them!
