I am going to be in Ireland for the Ryder Cup. We are staying in Dublin and have a rental car. Someone told me that we can't drive there (& park there) but that we must reserve seats on Irish rail and take the train & shuttlebuses. Is this true? Why can't I drive to the Ryder Cup? Please help as I actually leave today!

i believe there's a 2 mile radius around the town where its being held, all locals have had there registration plate details and id cards given out so they can get into the town, but i think once u have a ticket for the event u'll be allowed into the town and so id say there's parking places available
