I want to adopt a baby, but really don't want to spend 20 grand to adopt. Any idea on how to do this? Adoption agencies will coast 20 grand plus.

Truly educate yourself. Check out your state's foster care system. Check into internation adoption. I'm looking at my state's site for adoption and they're saying $1000-$2000 because of the legal process involved. Check into your state's foster care. Go to About.com and research. It's going to be a lot of work and research but if you truly work at it, the cost will be more than worth it.

Contact the Family and Children's Services (Social Services). Low cost adoption, subsidized adoption, sometimes no fee adoption is available. Just don't have your heart set on a perfect little newborn. 5 year olds are a lot of fun and adopting siblings can be even better. They let single persons adopt, too.

I guess it all depends on where you live.
I know that in my area you contact the Children's Aid Society and go from there.
I have no idea how much it costs though
I would suggest that you speak with your local social services and they can put you in touch with the right people
