I completley understand that you can't immediatley smell your burp, but there doesn't seem to be any lingering after smell....

either way, it's gonna be offensive to those whom are not burping. since your nose is busy being blocked up with the exiting air your cant take in a breath and smell it. Either way it comes from the stomach and smells, reagardless. Sorry.

I do not remember burbing through my nose in the whole of my life time. Probably u have been burping more, so you are able to experiment by sending through the nose isn't it?

All burping need not be smelling! The burbing comes because while eating you also push in air or your diet may be containing a lot of gas forming incredient like potata chips and other fried items.

By nature a bubble come from below the water surface when an airbubble is existing. If the water is sweet, sweet smell comes, if water is salty, salt smell comes.

Likewise what ever is in your stomach that smell would come either through your mouth or through your nose.
Next time whenever u burp through your nose try concentrating on the smell.

I have never had a burp go out through my nose, but a burp doesn't always have to have a "smell" But I would say you wouldn't smell it anyway since you are exhaling and not inhaling so you wouldn't smell it.

If the burp is exiting through the nose it's hard to smell at the same time don't you think???

try smelling my dobbie's burps.it's almost as bad as her farts. every time we feed her something with spices in it (which is the only way we can get her to eat), she comes over & burps in your face. I think it's her way of saying thanks. I don't know why she comes over & lays down next to you to fart later, maybe she's just trying to share the love. well I guess I'd better go, my pain pill is kicking in, & no telling what kind of perverted things I might say about this dog. she won't leave me alone. I might have to eat her!
