The Pope made a comment basically saying that Mohammed believed in spreading Islam through violence and hence, insulting Islam. This has offended many. Did they ever notice that his religion teaches him that they are all going to Hell anyway? How many preachers relay that message every week? Would it be off base if the Pope had said "Muslims go to Hell" because that's what it means by "Thou shalt worship no Gods before me"? What am I missing?

What are you missing? ALOT You are preaching hatred and violence yourself. Did you ever notice that more people have been murdered in the name of god than for any other reason in the history of humanity? Take care of your own heart and soul, spread the word with love and patience. Stop trying to scare and belittle people into believing what you do. Not all muslims are murderers. Not all christians are wonderful loving people, some are murderers.

It is my feeling that if you "respect" what someone is doing, and you know that what they do can cause them to end up in hell, you are not doing what God wants you to do, which is share His word, by showing them the way to salvation. Respect means to honor, and I cannot honor anyone's belief if it goes against the laws of God,..

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Unless others religions teach these scriptures along with the rest of God's word, they are not doing their members any good, and they will all be going to hell.

Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Exodus 23:13 And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.

Judges 10:13 Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you no more.

Before the Pope starts to point fingers at others, he must first examine what his Church is or is not doing, and then needs to make the necessary changes so he can have a voice in the subject of where someone will be spending eternity.

What the pope said against Mohammed, is basically the pot calling the kettle black.

Well sweetie, personally I don't believe in hell because it's not in the bible. i believe that all religious leaders who speak of things that arent supported by what the bible says , but instead teach what they want people to belive , are just like pharisees of the past who were hypocrytes and lawless, because outside they looked like very good people while from the inside they were rotting. most religious leaders dont kno what the hell theyre talking about. and as for the part of"thou shalt not worship no gods before me", thats a very interesting commandment that everyone should pay attention to becaused it seems to me like everyone worships the pope like he's a god.

this is the hard part.i cant bring my self to respect any ones religion that i know is not the truth i see so many Christians care free and think there doing the wright thing by listening to some man telling them things that are different then what the bible says.i had some one to day who says. well we are only accountable for the things we know .the bibles says to search the the scriptures.how sad for this person. when you see someone in danger you try to help them but they just say you need to stop judging me .I'm trying to help them but they are blind to the truth.they wont listen there are many false profits out there why don't they see this by seeing so many diffident Christians religions that don't agree .i think this will hinder a person from following Jesus.like it says there is only one way and few will find it. peace be with you

The only real way to respect a person you believe is condemned is to tell them the Truth that Jesus Christ died for their sins. If we just said "We respect your religion though we have a different view" and privately take pity on them we would be slapping them in the face. It is out of love that we preach the good news, not out of hate.

Sometimes there are things in life that we may not agree with, or that make us feel uncomfortable, I have found when this happens the best way to respect it is by not doing or saying a thing...
Live your life the way YOU see fit and let others live theres.

Jesus never forced Himself on anyone or tried to convince people of the truth by focusing on the final result of their decision. He did inform them of the consequenses of their unbelief, but it was never a used as a scare or conversion tactic.
