Remember it takes a guy alot longer to mature than a woman. Some guys are just idiots and don't care how a lie affects a woman. I know there a million reasons why guys lie, i can only speak for myself. That was my thing just being an idiot.

I am a guy and I admit to having lied in a relationship. I think in my case it was purely insecurity that I might lose her if she knew the truth about the topic at hand, whether serious or seemingly insignificant. In the end, of course, any lie, big or small, underminds the relationship on the whole and it is doomed to failure. Great relationships have no room for lies. I've learned my lesson, but many men have not. I suspect it is an aspect of maturity.

Because women lie. Sometimes a lie sounds better than the truth. Just depends on the situation.

People lie for many reasons. Either to get what they want or to cover up what they know is wrong. In a few cases it might be to "protect" someone else.

You dont seem to understand sometimes you have to lie to protect a girls feelings. We all lie to children about Santa Claus and tooth fairies etc., so as not to shatter their innocent illusions, the principles in adulthood are the same.
Dont pretend women dont lie, its the entire human race.

Not all guys lie. I'm extrely honest with my wife. For one I treat her and show her the same kind of respect that I want her to show me. There are a few good ones still out there.

Because it is their nature as it is for us women. The only difference is that we have less to lie about with them. With our friends is another story...
