my daughter and her boyfriend broke up, and she is heart broken.

he was over for dinner when my wife and i started to argue, and he attempted to help her back onto her feet and keep me away from her...

my daughter would really like to get him back, but i need to explain to her that she shouldnt be with a guy who shows such little respect for her father.

I don't know about arl21amber... I mean, that thing about the Cajun catfish was KINDA funny, but it's not up to our standards.

Anyway, maybe he was trying to hold her up so you could "argue" with her a couple more times.

So let me get this straight. You argued in front of your daughter and her guest. The boyfriend than tried to shield your daughter from you and the situation and you think he has little respect? Granted I wasn't there but from what you said in your own words it sounds like a young man who loves your daughter very much and doesn't want her in pain. It's hard to love someone so much and see them love someone who you don't agree with. I would give this boy another chance and let your daughters heart land where it may.

At least if he still have problems with you, you can always tell your daughter that you cannot date her and if things go worse like her marrying him, you can always object. So if your daugther's boyfriend really want you daughter, it is wise to be nice to you.
