Like everyone else has said, just make sure you treasure your time with your mom. Take the time to learn as much as you can about her. Talk to her about what she's done in her life, like what her favorite memories are, what she regrets and what she hopes you'll never go through. Ask her what she wants for you in your life, and treasure every lesson. Parents are full of wisdom and love us in a way that no one else ever can. Give and take all the love that you can while you can, and be grateful for each day. Don't forget to laugh!

The very "Best" gift that you could give to your mother on this up coming birthday is::: "YOU"
The suggestion of the Spa Treatment I think is wonderful!!
Just the two of you spending quality time together, a whole day of pampering and memories. Then after the spa, go and have a nice lunch or dinner with each other.
Take a camera to the spa with you so that you can enjoy taking pictures of one another, and let the staff get pictures of the both of you together.
Buy mom some wild flowers and let her enjoy the beauty and the fragrance....
Overwhelm her with your love, hugs and kisses. This will give her strength and cause her heart to dance :)
Material things will eventually fade away, but memories will last forever and ever...

Buy her a gift that reminds her of how specail she is to you, NOT a gift that reminds her she has cancer. She deserves to have one day that is about her and not about cancer...if nothing else then spending quality time with her is the best thing you can do for both of you! Remeber to live with her, laugh with her, and love her.

Write her a letter telling how much you love her.
Buy a card and have every family member sign on it.
Try to find the necklace, but do not worry if you can't finally find it.
Treat her normal, don't over hug her.

I wouldn't buy her jewelry. How about the two of you going for a spa day? Get massages, pedicures, manicures, facials--whichever. That would make her feel really good and you get to spend the time with her.
