LOL....I never heard the pizza theory but the donuts I think is because Dunkin Donuts is open 24/7 so it's convienient for them......

Actually I can answer this, being a Cops wife.
Whether they are Patrol, detective..etc..They spend a great deal of time "on the go".. They would love nothing more than sitting down to a home cooked meal, or go to a nice restaurant, but time does not allow. Criminals never stop, so Cops can't stop for long either..
I know there alot of badge heavy wierdos out there...But let's be good to our women and men who fight to keep the scum away from our front door ok??

another sterotype, but based on some truth.
think about the graveyard shifts and the types of extablishments that were open during those hours, just fifteen or twenty years ago....doughnut shops and pizza parlors.
