Do you still love me?
Why are we not close like we used to be?
Would you still love me if-- (I gained 40 lbs, grew a goiter, etc)
Do you think there's a rift between us?
Remember when____? We were so happy? What's happening now?
What's going on with us?

and etc... kind of silly questions that they ask you when you've just had a long week or a bad day and maybe snapped at her or ignored her once of twice... How do you respond and what do you think of that?

Well at lease you can be sure she's actually female and not a sex change veteran ;) All women come out with these types of questions and they always will. They are much more vocal about the confidence they require in a relationship then men, they need to know how they are viewed, thought of in various different scenarios. Accept that this is normal and either (a) ignore her and reap the consequences or (b) listen to her without making big deal of things for you or her

these questions are usually asked at a time when for one reason or another she is feeling down and a little insecure. Answer her truthfully and spend some time doing what you can to pick her up and make her little insecurities go away.Believe me, it will definitely be time well spent-in many ways

I've heard them all. I answer them as truthfully as possiible without hurting her feelings. Sometimes, any answer I give, would never be right. Married 20 years and she still is insecure.

I would say the truth because I know if I hide the truth, she is bound to find it.
