A quiet tropical island where you can relax after the wedding, be totally catered to and just relax and enjoy each others company.

A beach, preferably somewhere tropical. The Bahamas, Port Douglas, Koh Samui. Somewhere where you can relax and enjoy your time together and do honeymoon type things like go for a stroll at sunset, sip cocktails by the pool. Steer clear of big cities for honeymoons, especially one that is foreign to you, because they just end up being busy and stressful as there is so much sightseeing to do.

We had two honeymoons within a few weeks of each other - a tropical beach one and one in Paris. The beach one was so much better.

Let's see if I can get best answer three times in a row with this one. Here is my "best answer" from a question similar to yours.

More than exotic and fun it is important to find somewhere that you can really relax and bond with your new spouse. A honeymoon is not the time to take a "big" vacation where there will be a lot of sightseeing and things to do. You feel like you have to rush and see everything because you have spent so much money and it might be the last time you get to go there.

here is my "best answer" from a similar post a couple of weeks ago:

My honeymoon was fantastic. I have never been so relaxed in my life. We stayed at a couple's resort and they catered to us. I have been on "big" and "fancy" (Italy and Paris) vacations and trust me this is not the time. Pick someplace simple and peaceful. Like the other poster said you are not going to see the sites and you don't want to feel like since you are spending $$$$$$ you have to get out and see everything and rush rush rush.

I know alot of people suggest Rome or paris, but i dont agree,
A big city will make your honeymoon into a sightseeing trip, when it should be about the two of you.
I think an all inclusive resort would be the nicest, that way you have NOTHING to worry about except each other.
If your not beach people...I'd go on a cruise somewhere.

I agree with the folks who said where ever you and she are will be the most romantic. However, if you need to impress upon others that you make a lot of money and love her so much that you will take her across the world to be romantic, then Paris or Venice. My best choice is to go somewhere you both decide you would love to go. I wouldn't make it too busy though because a lot of the romance will be happening right in the hotel room.

You can make anywhere you honeymoon romantic.

You don't have to pay $5000 or travel 19 hours on an airplane to find it. You two can make even the worst of situations romantic.

My husband and I rented this awesome cabin in Gatlinburg TN (with anything you could name there... including a 2 person jacuzzi and a huge hot tub on the deck). We had everything we needed at our disposal. We also had a quiet yet intimate place to relax and just enjoy one another. Plus, if you get the urge to go out... there are tons of things to do... many beautiful sights to behold. Good luck and congrats.

Hawaii or Cancun. They both have been traveled enough to make traveling there easy. If you go to Hawaii, I would go to the island of Kauai, north side, close to Princeton. If you go to Cancun, I would go to Cancun, not the cities around Cancun.

If you want something more exotic, try Bora Bora or Turks Caicos Islands.
