If your going darker it shouldnt make a diffrence. It will stick.
I would be a little concerned. if ginger is under, that the brown might have some redish undertones...
But if that happened you could always redye in a few weeks.

the worst thing that can happen is your hair not turning the color you want, as it happened to you before. The pigments of the colors you used before, prevented the new pigments to act in a "normal" way. You should go to the hairdresser and have it professionally done if you ever want to have a nice, not reddish, hair. Red pigments are really hard to eliminate, so stop messing with your hair and go to a salon

My friend did almost the same thing. It turned orange. You should go to the salon before your hair becomes impossible to fix. Also, every time you dye your hair, you're damaging it. All of the chemicals (from all the different hair dyes) will interact, and your hair could start to fall out....

just remember whatever u dye over bleached hair is going to come out more vivid and brighter. since youre a guy tho why not just cut your hair short so you don't have to mess wth salons or anything? guy hair grows pretty fast you'll be back to normal in no time!

exactly the same thing happened to me once - the permanent brown colour will still go ginger - you need to see a professional hairdresser x
