False. Drugs perform many more positive tasks than negative. They save lives, relieve suffering, and allow many people to go on with a normal life. There are a minority of people who abuse drugs, but the vast majority benefit from having the right drugs to fix their problems.
Alcohol is not dangerous at all when consumed responsibly, and there are reports that modest consumption has health benefits. In addition, until we had clean drinking water available in this country, beer and distilled spirits were the only way to consume liquids safely.

It depends on your definition as to what constitues a drug.Is it drugs of abuse,or abuse of prescibed medication medication.
Would you say a person drinking 8-10 cups a coffee a day can be a curse to society,because it contains the drug caffeine.

I don't believe it is a curse per se. The iresponsibility and lack of control of some people consuming it is the curse. What's the answer to this dilemma, I don't know. I do know prohibition doesn't work, and do you make all the people be prohibited from partaking for the few that cause the problems?

off course . they have a bad effect on the person and so the society so i guess more laws must make alcohol illegal
