Pauls letters to Timothy are equally enlightening. This is one of the reasons I am not a Christian. No God who loves me would make me intelligent, witty and wise and then tell me not to speak.
Thank the Goddess I found Her!

There is a second passage that goes along with this found in 1 Timothy 2:11 where it states more clearly that that the woman is not permitted to teach or have authority over a man. The Corinthians passage is referring to this same subject....teaching and authority. Paul asks that the woman ask of her husband or in private about a matter so that it doesn't usurp the authority of men within the church. It doesn't mean to shut up completely.
This answer is much more complicated than just that because you have to understand the concept of submission and obedience as God has set up for men and women. Most people assume that this means that women are inferior but it is the exact opposite. But in essence, because of the way God would like the structure set up for spirituality, the man should be the leader, it makes perfect sense, in this case, that women, though they may understand at the time, should not assume a teaching or authoritative role in the context of a public setting.

God has raised up many females who're in ministries. He has to for my section chosen them for a particular ministry. by employing some distance, maximum pastors are adult men as all of us recognize. I do trust conversing in tongues in church is sturdy once you've an interpreter. If the Holy Spirit is directing you to communicate in tongues then he has an interpreter. in spite of the undeniable fact that, i have considered some try this without an interpreter. ninety 9% of the time each and every thing is done decently and so as in my church, yet i imagine that the terror that we'd get out of order may lead on to quenching the Holy Spirit too. i have considered that. We in basic terms favor extra of the Holy Spirit shifting in our church homes for regardless of reason. i trust the admonition for females to not communicate in church develop right into a quite some count number than those God has given a ministry to. In lately even as Corinthians develop into written the girls were chatting or asking their husbands questions in the course of the room which develop into disrupting the service. the girls and adult men had to take a seat in separate elements of the church. by employing the way, in arising with many variations for that one verse, Roberta forgot the context it really is what's major the following.

Yes, I speak in church. BUT it is to praise my God, my Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. I will continue to do so whether you like it or not.
Furthermore, I really don't care what pot you have your water in. If I want to say AMEN to something that I think is very important to me, then I will say it.
I do not chit-chat in church. Church is for the giving of praise to the Almighty. AND that my dear is exactly what I do. I go to praise my Lord.
Come to my church and try and stop me from speaking. I am a singer for the Lord. I get on the platform and I sing his praises to Him not the congregation. I have sang in many churches. It is a gift from my Lord and I use my voice for his glory.
So if you like you can add my comments to your pot of water.
God bless and have a great day..
AND I do wish there was some way that you could keep your two points. I don't want them..

I have never heard so much nonsense.
What did Jesus say on the subject?
Women are the pillar of both the Muslim and Christian faiths; if they remain silent, both faiths will die.

I am sorry, you are not a good christian woman, you are a fool. A brainwashed one at that. It is a pity to see that in today's society where education is readily available that people like you still exist.
Simple as that.
Do you take everything you read as gospel truth, or is it just the 'good book'. Do you actually think at all, or do you just read the book and do what it says, no questions asked.
I don't normally make a habit of insulting people - but people who were given a brain to reason with but have no reason whatsoever really annoy me.

This scripture is very clear for the women of that day. This book is for the Corinthian women. Nice try! Keeping reading the bible because it will help you.

Well, I am not a woman, and I am not a christian.
But I wished to tell you that your question is interesting.
If I hypothetically were a christian woman, I would reply: *speechless*
