It's really a lot to think about college after you've finally finished high school. Sometimes you just need a break! Don't worry about going to college now if you don't think you are ready. You can always change your mind later. There is no age limit for going back to school.
If you are still in high school, you should probably still take the SATs (or other exams if you aren't in the U.S.) because the information they test on the SATs will still be fresh in your mind. If there are any teachers you like, you should also ask if they will write you some general recommendations. Ask them all for a few copies, since most schools require recommendations from 3 people. Once you have your SAT scores and some recommendations, but them away somewhere safe and go about your life. This way, you can be prepared in case you do decide to go to school later.
Although going to college will mean that you will earn more money later, I genuinely feel that some people just aren't ready for college right after high school. Sometimes, you need to get out there in the world, and find a direction that you are interested in. Getting away from school for a while can help you to focus and make a better decision if you do decide to go to college one day.
Even if you don't decide to go to college, it doesn't mean that you are going to be a failure in life. I have a cousin who decided that he didn't want to go to college, because he would rather spend his time sailing. So now he earns a living by giving sailing lessons part time, and he spends the rest of the time sailing on his own boat, and he's as happy as can be. Just do what feels right for you at the time. If you ever look at your life and decide that you aren't exactly where you want to be, then don't be afraid to try new things or make changes.

You should move close to university so that you will be living in a University setting. The majority of your neighbors will be college students and you will still be tied in with what is going on. If you only want to do a little work. Look at going part time. Take 1 or 2 classes a quarter so that you are up on campus. Many times all you need is part-time status to be part of campus organizations.

Well if you want to do something that might need a degree you should go, keep in mind that you are always going to have to do somethings you don't want to do. But if it is a concern about success or validity, then thats crap. Results are what matters. You can get results without a degree. If I were you I would work a couple years and maybe you may know more about what you want. You can start college after 20...

a littl what?
Consider technical schools, apprenticeships or other places to learn work skills if youre looking for a good living wage. Its hard to get ahead with just a high school diploma in the U.S. but it can be done. You may have to work harder, better and smarter.
(and for those who think not going to college means your missing something amazing, you can read the Great Gatsby at home, too you know.)

Going to college these days does not necessarily guarantee anything. Maybe you could look into a tech school or if you want to be totally school free maybe you could find a job that provides on site training.

live a school free life and you will also live a money free life. You will also live a life free of the joy of knowing things. You will always feel like you missed the beginning of the movie.

Well, if you like the idea of flipping burgers or saying "Welcome to WalMart" for the rest of your life, then go for it.
Seriously though, consider a few courses at a time or tech school if that works better for you. It would be an easier pace, but get you a degree or certificate eventually. The longer you put off school, the harder it is to go back.

before everything, being over-possessive is under no circumstances going to get you a woman. we do not favor daddy's, we favor boyfriends. try seeing females as equals & not as personal resources. next, artwork on your personality. Be extra outgoing & have exciting. we adore adult men who make us giggle, listen, & recognize a thanks to be a sturdy chum. it would not count number what your body feels like or what nationality you're. I cant say be your self because you would possibly want to favor help. take care of a lady an same way that you want to be dealt with...with type & understand. in case you cant try this then you actually might want to easily finally end up by employing your self.
