Capital One in UK. Don't do it, the ones for people with bad credit ratings charge you even more stupid amounts of interest. Capital One puts in really tiny print that the interest rate is around 30%. Most of the advert is taken up with how you can choose from 6 designs of card. The more desperate you are for credit the higher the rate you have to pay. It's sickening.

From my experience you won't be able to get a credit card if you have a bad credit rating.

try going to first premier. they help rebuild your credit. typically the card is open with a $200 credit line with only $50 available to use. they charge about a $150 that's why there is only $50 available. as long as you make your monthly payments, every 6 months you may be entitled to a credit line increase. it gets a positive rating on your credit report which then makes you able to attain other credit cards.

I'll give you my advise although you didn't ask for it, then I'll answer your question. Try to pay off what bills you have, don't get a card just yet. However, to rebuild your credit you will need some kind of credit. So, if you absolutely have to have one look up the companies below. You will be approved. Read their disclosures well and follow them. You'll be just fine.
Good Luck!

Capital one is pretty good, they dont have many fees and its pretty straightforward.

Theres also the option of a Secured Credit card, where you put forward a sum of money, lets say a 1000. Thats held in a form of trust and serves as your credit limit. While you have that card you dont draw from that but it is there in case you cannot repay what you owe. Its not the easiest way but another option.

Try going to your own bank they will charge you a higher interest rate but it will create you a better credit score as long as you don't miss payments and atleast pay your minimum payment on time each month!!! Try Capital one if your bank won't help, but i am sure if you went to your bank they would be able to help you!!! credit cards are dangerous and remember paying the minimum payment every month................... the credit card isn't then working for you and the company are gaining from you!!!!!!!!

Capital One - but make sure you pay off everything every month. They are expensive - but it may help to improve your credit rating (although getting any card depends upon why your credit is bad!)

my advice don't get a credit card. the fact that u have bad rating should show u that u shouldn't get one. if you live outside your means u will be forever broke. trust me i know. just stick with cash and debit cards. besides i think if u stay out of debt for like six years your rating will go back up again.

If you have a bad credit rating is a credit card the answer to your problems or is it going to make matters worse in the long run?.

This sounds harsh but its not intended to be. You have to be cruel to be kind at times.

Good luck
