Hey, I guess many teens do "test the limits" and sometimes "push the limits" too far. As a 15 year old guy, if a spanking is what it takes to remind me of who is the boss and I am not, what sort of a spanking and how much would be appropriate?

A few light swats on the behind for bad behavior gets small kids attention. After that, even the hint of a spanking is a deterent.
15 year old are another story. In my opinion, they are too old for spankings...on the other hand 10 lashes of a whip with barbs might get their attention...OK, just kidding!
Teenagers need to respect authority, just like adults do. There ought to be a price for inappropriate behavior...but spanking is not it at 15 years old.

This is an odd question ~ who is doing the spanking. If you really are talking about your parents, then 15 is too old to be receiving spankings. Now, if it is your girlfriend ~ only you can say for sure what is appropriate

When I went to school in TX.. when a student crossed over that line of WAY WRONG..they were allowed to paddle you on the butt one time..with another teacher present and the parents were aware of this...
I know alot of parents don't think 15 is an appropriate age to be spanked..BUT either is robbing, swearing, smoking, drinking etc...If a spank on the butt reminds you ...then spank away mom/dad!

Mmmmkay. Spanking is not effective discipline on a teen and could lead to more problems.
Write up a list of rules and consequences. At the ripe old age of 15 your child is still very dependent on you and there are many ways to show that.
All you need to provide is food shelter and clothes...and schooling. Everything else is leverage.

Spanking a 15 year old...there has to be another way to deal with this. I can't imagine how low this would make a child feel being 15. I would take things away maybe even every thing.

Ok dude, if your still getting spanked from you parents I think you and them need to grow up. Next time your dad tries to hit you then deck him. Now if it's your woman then I would say that only you cann say if it's appropriate or not.. I mean a woman spanking you is always appropriate as long as it's sexual.

If you're serious, then it depends on the offense. Anything from one whack to a good "fire your azz up" works for me. But at 15 you should know better by now.
If you're not serious, then you need to find a partner to spank you and leave your parents out of it. lol.
