I was made for something better! None of us should be content where we are... we should always be striving for something more!

The name is good, the brand is big
But the work I do is that of a pig
The work or the brand, what is my way?
I dont know if I should stay.

To work, they have set their own way
Nobody will care to hear what I say
My will be NULL, they wont change their way
I dont know if I should stay.

The project is in a critical stage
But to do good work, this is the age
This dilemma is killing me day by day
I dont know if I should stay.

The money is good ,the place is great
But the development is at a very small rate
Should I go for the work, or wait for pay
I dont know if I should stay. !

The managers dont know what they talk
The team doesnt know where they walk
That's a bad situation, what say?
I dont know if I should stay.

I can go to any other place
But what if I get the same disgrace
I cant keep switching day by day
I dont know if I should stay.

The -ve's are more, the +ves are less
Then why have this unnecessary mess
No more will I walk their way,
Its all done, I won't stay

I LEFT my company and this is why:

1. Way too much over-time. Life is too short to live at work. They hold their employees 16 hours a day routinely. I have no issue with over-time because of an emergency, but it was cheaper for them to pay us the over time than hire employees and pay them benefits, so they burned everyone out. That meant delivering poor quality of care, an increase in work related accidents, and mental health issues. It also broke up family after family. Spouses actually expect to see their mate and have some help parenting. Furthermore, they had no short or long term plan to remedy the lack of employees and had a proven track record of several years that level of staffing.

2. Doing work constantly of other positions. I went to school to work as a nurse, not a housekeeper, diaper changer and other stupid jobs that I went to school to stop doing. Once in awhile to help out is one thing--expected daily is another.

3. Disrespect. Another employee was denied leave for her own wedding. It was not an isolated incident.

4. Pay. They expected the world, but wanted to pay in the lower 5th percent of the country.

5. Risk to health.

I think that about covers it. I have a job I LOVE now. I never made a better decision.

I have tried a few times, but believe me, the grass is not greener. The evil you know is better than the evil you don't know.
