Also on Friday, US military officials said insurgents have killed seven US servicemen and wounded dozens more in the past 24 hours across Iraq.

So far in September, 36 US soldiers have been killed,

It looks as if the USA will lose Iraq. The new Iraqi Government is going down in defeat.

USA and its so called Allies (a mixture of failures) never had Iraq, all they did was bomb innocent people, all that from the safety of their Planes.

What sort of firepower do Iraqi people have against USA and its stooges, but they still make the MIGHTY USA tremble.

USA will never win this war, its insane leader has led its people astray. Where are the so called Weapons Of Mass Deastruction.

Its another Vietnam and all you will have is Iraqi war veterans, without limbs and no Government help.

You American people UNITE and bring your brothers, children and parents HOME, to safety.

I can tell you this. I am a soldier in Iraq right now. Soldiers die, it is a hazard of their profession. But let me clear some things up for you.
First, the US doesn't control Iraq. Its people are too afraid of hurting someone's feelings to let us control Iraq again. Because we would have to kill "innocent" people again. Though I use this term loosely because I don't believe any of the people here to be innocent. If they didn't want to die, they would tell us who, and where the terrorists are in their country so that we wouldn't kill the innocent people. I bet if we dropped a leveled a kilometer area every time soldiers get attacked there, this **** would stop. But the americans would never allow this because it's "cruel". But I think sending soldiers into a city that they can be attacked in, and not fight back reasonably is cruel. Essentially, they would rather see body bags filled with americans rather than Iraqis.
Second, don't harbor any illusions. We are in no way afraid of these stupid hajji bastards. They must be forgetting that we are the same Army that crippled their country. I mean BROUGHT IT TO ITS KNEES! In less than a month. And they think that we are afraid? The hajji that answered earlier is right. They don't have any weapons that can compare to ours. There are few countries in the world that could stand up to us. But if it were up to the soldiers here, we would use our true military potential and LEVEL this country in about 3 days or less. So its not a matter of being "able" to control this country. Its about the people keeping our hands tied.
Third, the Iraqi Government can't control their people because they don't want to be controlled by a democracy. They want to be ruled by force. That's all they've ever known, and I say lets pull out and let them have at it. If they wanna be ruled by their own dictator, Fine! Let them toil in this putrid hole. They don't even have enough ambition to build a frickin sewer system in their neighborhood. Even if someone would give them the materials... They always say,"America build it for us... please build it for us." The people here disgust me. But you know what, its only temporary, and we've killed wayyyy more of them then they have of us. So suck it up Hajj. We're not going anywhere for a while.

I wonder why didn't you ask how many innocent iraquis were murdered by the terrorists, and how many of them survived just because those 36 died to protect them.
The US cannot "lose" Iraq. It can only give it away- provided the cowardly party have their way.
the new iraqi gov't needs a little more time, their men need to learn how a real army and real police force can work. As it is now, thay already handle half of the security. Not as good as the US marines maybe, but then there ain't too many troops in the world who are as good.
Why are you so anxious to see terrorists win?

Its ppl like you that shame our troops. My question is if you want to know the true answer, join the military...I don't care what branch, and find the answers your looking for first hand. Do you think that this is a "gentlemens" fight going on, where the two sides are slapping each other with kid-gloves or some such?? No, they are fighting with weapons, weapons that kill. That is what is used during war, no matter whose side you're on, whether you have the support from your own countrymen or not. I wouldn't be surprised to find you among those that protest at the funerals of those troops that made the ultimate sacrifice. Its ppl like you that just make me sick.

No one ever said going to Iraq was ever going to be easy. These soldiers signed up to fight for our freedom -- at the cost of their lives. Unfortunatly -- a lot of people don't recognize them for that -- just that its another "36" ... Some Americans act like spoiled brats that do not see a quick fix -- and therefore give up. If its not done in a hurry -- its not done. Those soldiers (my husband included) are doing their job ... I never know if he is coming home alive -- but its something that we have to face... and unfortunatly some spoiled americans are allowed to feel that way, and view it that way,,,because these men and women are over there fighting for their right to say crap like that. ITs going to take time -- NO one will EVER come to an agreement on this, no one. it will just be something we will always be at odds with. But the least we could do is support our soldiers AND their mission.

Proportionately the casualty figures are only about one eighth of what they were in Vietnam but then this was never supposed to be a real war that would still be happening after three years. What amazes me is that many Americans still haven't cottoned onto the fact that they're going to lose. They're spouting the usual gung ho, semper fi, bullshit and all the time their young men are being scraped off the streets of Iraq and shovelled into body bags-what does it take to penetrate a thick American skull? You lost-troops out now.

i hope all american troops are killed and burned.....im very sad that innocent lil babies and children are dying...it makes me really sad...what did they ever do to anyone....they just want to live a life....its very very sad that their lives are being cut short because of a country elected a loser that typifies their country(america)....i hope some day...god punishes the americans for their crimes of humanity....and when that day comes...i will have no sympathy for any american children or babies....there are about 300 million americans....almost 3000 have died in iraq so far....therefore 3000 done and 299 million something to go! i hope justice is done to the innocent babies and children that have died! dont worry america will lose in iraq and afghanistan and they will also lose the war on terror...and in a few years time( maybe 2 or 3 years) the war and the bloodshed will come to american soil so that america feels the same pain they have inflicted upon another country!

We are in a war. In war people die. Do you not realize there are other aspects of this war. Why not ask how many Iraqi citizens died at the order of Saddam Hussein during his regime? The numbers would astonish you. The cruelty would astonish you. The cost is always high when freedom is at stake. You are fortunate that people like my husband stand up to fight so you don't have to. Thanks for the reminder of how many have died, as if I could ever forget.

36 US lives and hundreds of Iraqi and Afghans. The Americans who died were soldiers and this is part of the job description, but what about innocent babies, children and women, how many more are going to be killed this week?

Got to agree with Cyndiecyndie's post!!!
Her husband and MANY other men and women are giving/gave their lives so you and everyone in America could continue to voice your opinions FREELY, so you can go to a pizza parlor without fear of being bombed, or to rhe church of your choice without fear, or to be a woman with all the rights and freedoms that men in this society have. Learn some respect for the people who are PROTECTING YOU! Without them you would be in a Sh*tload of trouble! What our military is doing DESERVES our respect and admiration but demands it! Without wavering, without all the moronic comments about "wrong war" etc. Support our troops or leave this country!
