At what age is it appropriate for children to see kissing scenes and love making scenes in movies?

It depends on how explicit the scenes are. Simple kissing scenes should be no problem for kids 10 and older, as they probably see you and your spouse kissing. Bedroom activity that's pretty well covered up should be okay for 12 and older. If there's lots of nudity, then 15 and up.

A lot has to do with the temperament of the child and whether s/he will be upset or confused by such on-screen activity. However, kissing and lovemaking are things that adults do and kids will learn about them soon enough.

Kissing scenes are a natural part of life, even children kiss their parents. Not being afraid to show this natural affection is important as long as they are taught boundaries. Loving making scenes are not necessary for a child or adult at any age. Love making on the "big screen" is not at all what real love is like or about, it gives a false impression that cannot be lived up to. When a child views a scene like that, a mental image is embedded in their mind that will last a lifetime. Wouldn't it be much better for a person to have that experience with their significant other, no false expectations, a journey the two will share that no one else has ever been on.

It depends upon if the kids are watching it by themselves or if there is an adult right next to them to explain or edit the kissy bits.

The only real problem is that kids tend to imitate whatever they see. I stopped kissing my partner anything more than a brief kiss on the lips in front of my son when I realised he was crash-tackling kids at daycare to kiss them.

There's no real need to let kids see movies with lots of kissing lovemaking. But if they happen across it, just tell them it's something that happens ONLY between grown ups who love each other very much.

Kissing scenes at 12. Love making scenes over 18. Also tell them that waiting until there married will make it special. sex outside of marriage is wrong. Boys just use girls then treat them like dirt and girls use sex as a weapon against the boys. That is not the way God intended it to be.

But unfortunately its not like that so about 9 for kisses and the less they know the less u have to worry about but in middle school their gonna learn about sex but ill leave it till 17 around there for sex scenes, if its just making out and some nudety ok maybe 16 but other than that, Its too dangerous these days

I'm, like, not even a teen, and the things that I watch on YouTube are for people of the age 18+, and it's the same for my friends. Any age is fine, as long as you give them some basic info about what's going on. If they have no idea, then they might start copying whatever's going on, and one of my classmates has actually got into trouble for swearing at me (not gonna put a name).

At the age when you feel they can handle THE TALK. Also when do you think they should be allowed to watch shooting and fighting scenes? Lots of parents seem to be ok with their kids watching people get killed but not expressing their love for one another, I think that is really weird.

I would say that children of all ages could watch kissing scenes but love making secenes should be for children over 16. If you look at etv and the naked rubish they have on at night and some of them even before 21h00, it blows me to think that adults could put that on tv for children to watch. They talk about preventing aids and kids sleeping around, but they show the most revolting naked progrmas and not even to mention the downloads of naked girls you can download to your phones.
