due to the following:
1)during emotional changes emotional centres in brain are activated .these centre lie in THALAMUS and AMYDALA in brain
2)They send nerve impulses to the artries supplying the face and neck to pump more blood
3)due to more blood even those cappilaries open up which are normally closed and much more cappilary network becomes blood filled
4)then ur face is blushed and u look red

When you become embarassed, hormones are produced from a glind, which makes your heart beats faster causing blood preasure to increase in your body, so if your skin is of light-color, then blood preasure appears as a red color.
This is the case you face while playing sports, when you fear of something, or when your blood preasure is increased because of an illness, trauma...etc.

It is a reaction of human skin like to open his/her eyes wide when he/she surprises. Some emotions are shown by skin.

more blood is pumped in to your head so it becomes red. ;)
