No I don't believe that he had the right to convey that any religion, sect or belief is evil. He has the duty to preach the word as he knows it, not to try and destroy the thoughts of others. If his God is so great and can win over evil, then why doesn't he let God who say to "judge not least ye be judged" take care of it.

immappam:

because he is the pope. the caution of judging does not apply to him.

he is the direct representative of god on earth... and as such his word is gods word. it has also been decreed that he cannot be wrong. ever. about anything. becuae if he says something it is really god saying it.

not my belief, just explaining the inner logic.

as to answer the question: what do you expect by someone who has until his election as pope been serving as chief of what is for all intents and purposes the modern time successor of the Spanish Inquisition?

he's ignorant and NOT qualified to be a religious leader by any means.
