Because they know they are special in someones eye,and were worth the lovely thought, and that someones cares enough to think of them
Flowers can represent alot of different things Love,Friendship and caring, they have universal appeal, for every age group young and old, people have always given flowers as a term on endearment,
I would be happy with a bunch of wild hand picked flowers,it's the thought that counts,
Its a blooming good job I'm not allergic to them lol get it blooming

I guess the whole idea came from the fact that flowers are colourful, tender and have fragrances that are sexually stimulating, hence couples gave bouquets of flowers to each other as a sniff could get a romantic evening out of an ordinary day. It became a tradition from there. Hence, the gift of flowers has become a symbol of everything a relationship stands for e.g. care, respect, love...and of course, ROMANCE.

Because it shows how far a man will go for a S H A G. Men feel a bit poncy carrying a bunch of flowers through the streets, maybe that's where women got their first impression of Arrrrr isn't it romantic, watching a clumsy geezer carrying a scabby bunch of posies and being laughed at by his mates, Actually , I have know idea I'm just rambling.

It's not so much the flowers themselves as it is the fragrance. The scent awakens sensuality. A women will find a single flower as sensual as an entire bouquet. Have you never noticed the absolute 1st thing a women does is raise the flower(s) to her nose to capture the aroma??? Even after being placed in a vase, she will take several trips back to take in the beauty of the scent.....

Because flowers as a gift is emotional not practical - and illustrates a desire to give something of pure beauty that does not need a practical purpose. I believe that many women find that notion romantic. And they may be right.

It's not so much the flowers we like but the meaning behind them. It shows us that you're being thought of and we are liked. Plus, it doesn't hurt that flowers are beautiful. :)

Tradition...flowers are nice, but a bit cliche'...what's really romantic is someone who does something a bit more original to show his/her appreciation for their partner...
